Our pieces are sculptural, but they are also lamps, furniture and objects you live with. Please read the safety information for your piece before you install or use it, keep it, and pass it on if you give or sell the piece to someone else. The same information comes with your piece.
1. Manufacturer
All Rollo Studio pieces are made and placed on the market by:
Bryant Creative Industries, S.L.U. (Rollo Studio) Carrer de Fray Francisco Cabezas 13, Bajo C, 46019 València, Spain info@rollostudio.com · +34 614 412 917
Each product page shows the piece’s name, a picture and its model code, which also appear on your order confirmation. Keep your confirmation: it identifies your piece if we ever need to contact you about it.
2. Report a safety problem
If a piece is damaged, overheats, flickers, sparks, smells of burning, gives a shock, comes loose or has caused an accident:
- Stop using it. For a lamp, switch it off and unplug it or switch off the circuit at the breaker. Do not touch a damaged lamp while it is connected.
- Tell us straight away using the form at the end of this page, by email or by phone. Include your order number, the piece and what happened, with photos if you can.
We register and investigate every report, reply within 15 days at the latest (sooner for anything urgent) and, where needed, inform the authorities and other customers. If an accident caused an injury, please seek medical help first.
3. All pieces
- Read the instructions before installing or using the piece, and keep them.
- Our pieces are for indoor use in dry places, unless a product page says otherwise.
- Many pieces are heavy and fragile. Lift large pieces with two people, from the base, never by a cable, shade or glass top. Place them on a stable, level surface.
- Quartz sand is strong in normal use but can crack or break if dropped or knocked. Stop using a piece that is cracked or chipped and contact us.
- Keep small parts and packaging away from children. Our pieces are not toys.
4. Lamps
All lamps
- Indoor use only, in dry locations (IP20). Not for outdoor use, wet areas or anywhere the lamp may get wet. In bathrooms, install only outside the zones where your local wiring rules require a higher IP rating.
- Supply: 220-240 V ~ 50/60 Hz, unless your lamp is a 120 V version. Never connect a 120 V version to a 230 V supply.
- Disconnect the power (unplug, or switch off the circuit breaker) before cleaning, maintenance or changing a bulb.
- Do not cover the lamp or place it against curtains, fabrics, paper, dried flowers or other flammable materials.
- If the external flexible cable is damaged, it must be replaced only by us, our service agent or a similarly qualified person, to avoid a hazard. Do not use the lamp if the cable, plug or body is damaged.
- Do not open, modify or rewire the lamp. Modifications can make it unsafe.
- Keep cables out of reach of children and pets, and route them so no one can trip over or pull them.
- Dimmable lamps: use a dimmer suitable for LED lighting. Ask us if you are not sure which.
Lamps wired into the mains (wall lamps without a plug, and all pendants)
- Installation must be done by a qualified electrician, following the wiring rules of your country (in Spain: the Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulation, REBT, through an authorised installation company). Switch off the circuit at the breaker before installation.
- The wall or ceiling and the fixings must safely carry the weight of the lamp (shown on the product page and in the instructions). Use fixings suited to your wall or ceiling; plasterboard needs cavity fixings or a fixing into a stud.
- Check for hidden cables, pipes and ducts before drilling.
- Pendants hang from their suspension, never from the electrical cable alone. Do not swing, pull or hang anything from a pendant, and hang it high enough above a table that no one can knock it.
U· lamps and the U· side table (PLA)
- U· pieces are made of plant-based PLA, which softens at around 55-60 °C. Keep them away from heat sources (radiators, fireplaces, stoves, heaters, ovens), out of direct sun behind glass, and never leave them in a hot car or a parcel in the sun.
- Do not put hot objects on or against them. Use coasters for hot drinks on the side table, and do not sit or stand on it.
- Fix a plug-in wall lamp’s cord to the wall so it cannot be pulled.
- The integrated LED module and its driver are designed for a long life. They are not replaceable by the user but are replaceable by a professional: if one fails, contact us and we replace it in our studio.
Sand wall lamps and pendants (Aureole Sun, Strata, Eclipse)
- Heavy and fragile: handle with both hands, two people for large pieces, and never by the cable. Do not hang anything from the lamp.
- Aureole Sun: use only G9 LED bulbs of the type and wattage supplied. Never use halogen bulbs. Let bulbs cool before touching them.
- Strata: the integrated LED is not user-replaceable. If it fails, contact us and we repair it.
- The surface is porous: no water or cleaning products. Dust with a soft, dry brush.
Sand table and floor lamps (Dune, Lavora, Orbital, Urban Stem, Noir)
- Place on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from edges.
- A lamp can tip over if its cable is pulled. Route the cable safely, do not move the lamp while it is on, and lift it by the base.
- Use only the bulb type and maximum wattage shown on the lamp and in its instructions, LED only. Integrated LED cores (Urban Stem, Barchan) and LED tubes (Requiem) are replaced only by us.
5. Furniture
Tables with glass tops (console and coffee tables)
- The glass can break from impacts, point loads or sudden temperature changes. Do not stand, sit or lean on the table.
- Spread loads evenly and keep within the maximum load stated in the instructions. No hot pans, dishes or candles directly on the glass.
- Check that the glass sits correctly on its supports before use and after moving the table. Never lift the table by the glass: remove the glass first and move the table with two people.
- Stop using the table if the glass is chipped or cracked. Do not let children climb on it.
Sulky lounge chair
- For sitting only, within the maximum user weight stated in the instructions. Do not stand, kneel or jump on it, sit on its edges, or tilt or rock it.
- Avoid knocks. Stop using the chair if you see a crack, and contact us.
- Move it with two people, lifting rather than dragging, on a level floor indoors.
Side tables (U·001, Vendi and others)
- Do not sit or stand on a side table. Keep within the load stated in the instructions and place it on a level floor.
6. Objects
Lull candleholder
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep burning candles out of reach of children and pets.
- Use only candles that sit securely in the holder. Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, curtains, dried flowers, books and anything flammable, with clear space above the flame.
- Do not move the holder while the candle is lit or the wax is liquid. The holder can get hot. Put the candle out before it burns down to the holder.
Stone Roses vessels
- For dried flowers only. Not watertight: never add water or fresh flowers. Water seeps through and can damage furniture and floors.
- Dried flowers burn easily: keep them away from candles, fireplaces, heaters and hot bulbs.
- Decorative objects, not for food.
Phantom cigar tray
- Ash and embers can stay hot for a long time and the tray can get hot. Use it on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from anything flammable, and never leave a lit cigar unattended.
- Empty it only when completely cold, into a non-combustible container. Not for food.
Caldera bowl and other objects
- Decorative objects. Not suitable for food. Not watertight: do not fill them with liquids.
7. Care
- U· pieces: dust with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. No solvents, abrasives, polishes or sprays.
- Quartz sand pieces: dust with a soft, dry brush. No water, liquids or cleaning products.
- Glass: clean with a glass cleaner sprayed onto a cloth, not onto the table.
- Felt pads under heavy pieces protect delicate surfaces; keep them in place.
8. End of life and recycling
Lamps are electrical equipment. The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol means they must not be thrown away with household waste: take them to a collection point for electrical equipment (a “punto limpio” in Spain). When you buy a new lamp from us for delivery in Spain, we collect an equivalent old lamp free of charge from your delivery address, or you can bring it to our studio; tell us when you order so we can arrange it. Separate collection helps reuse and recycling and keeps the substances in electronics out of the environment.
Packaging: recycle cardboard and paper in the paper bin. Please reuse or recycle the protective materials.
9. Safety notices
There are no active safety notices or recalls for Rollo Studio products. If we ever need to issue one, we publish it on this page and contact the customers affected directly.
10. Outside Europe
Our lamps are made for 220-240 V mains and European electrical rules (120 V versions only where we say so). Outside Europe, plugs, voltages and local rules can be different, and some countries require local certification for lighting. Please contact us before ordering a lamp for a country outside Europe, and always have it installed by a licensed local electrician.
